Mr. Van Dee Coley (85), of Lucama, NC, died on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Barbour Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Smithfield, NC. Mr. Coley's funeral will take place at 1 pm on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, 805 Nash St SE, Wilson, NC. Rev. Mary Ruth C. Foster will be the eulogist. Burial will follow at Coley Family Cemetery (4864 Rainwater Rd., Lucama). The family will assemble at 12 noon at his sister's home in Wilson.

A public viewing will be held on Sunday, September 21st from 12 - 1 pm prior to the service at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.

To cherish his memory and legacy, he leaves three sisters, Joyous Coley of Wilson, NC, Rev. Mary Ruth Foster of Washington, DC. and Ida M. Daniel of Lucama, NC; three nieces, Charlene M. Coley of Lillington, NC, Sharon Coley of Wilson, NC and Sonya Purvis of Washington, DC; two nephews, Dwayne S. Coley of Charlotte, NC and William Brian Foster of Washington, DC; one great niece, Ciana Parker of Raleigh, NC; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
