Mrs. Mavis Barnes Harris (78), of Winterville, NC, formerly of Elm City, NC, died on Monday, January 13, 2025 at ECU Hospice House in Greenville. Mrs. Harris' funeral will take place at 12 noon on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Calvary Presbyterian Church, USA at 209 Pender St N, Wilson, NC. Reverend Dr. Faye Chandler, Reid Temple AME Church, Glendale, MD, will be the eulogist. A burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery (1717 Bishop LN Forbes Lane, Wilson). The family will assemble at 11:00 am at Edwards Funeral Home for the processional to the church.

A public viewing will be held Thursday, January 23rd from 2 - 5 pm at Edwards Funeral Home, Chapel. There will also be a public viewing on Friday, January 24th at the church prior to the service from 11 - 12 pm.
