Leslie (Les) Frederick May, Jr. 94, of Kinston, N.C., passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025 at Greendale Forest Nursing and Rehabilitation in Snow Hill, N.C.

Born in Hazelton, PA, on December 10, 1930, he was the only child of Leslie Frederick May Sr. and Verna Alber. He joined the Army Reserve rising to the rank of Master Sergeant. Leslie graduated with a BS in Engineering from Penn State and worked for Underwriters Laboratories for 40 years as an Inspector/Engineer.

Leslie lived a long and fulfilling life surrounded by the warmth and love of family.

Leslie was preceded in death by beloved wife of 69 years, Doris W. May, with whom Leslie built a lifetime of cherished memories. Leslie is survived by a devoted son, Jeffrey F. May, of California, whose love and support were especially precious to Leslie throughout life's journey.

Leslie will be warmly remembered by family and friends at a Memorial Service on July 13th at 11 am at Westminster United Methodist Church in Kinston, N.C.
