Mrs. Helen Louise Ryams, 90 of Wilson, NC, died Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Wilson Medical Center in Wilson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Hart's Chapel MB Church 5240 Nobles Mill Pond Road, Rocky Mount NC, with Rev. Elijah Harris, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street Ext. Public viewing will be on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 2-7 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel and the wake will be from 6-7 p.m. The family will assemble at 9:15 a. m. on Saturday, at the home of Juan and Sherreia Jackson for the procession to the church. She is survived by: one daughter, Patricia Ryams-Hawkins [Walter]; one grandson, Juan Jackson, Sr. [Sherreia]; one brother, Claude Junior Barnes [Gladys]; three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends

She was predeceased by one daughter, Joan Jackson Barnes on January 24, 2019.
